Position: Accountant - Construction Equipment

Report to: Sr Accountant - Construction Equipment

Overview

The Equipment Accountant will help the Kwest Group's leadership team analyze the economic health of the organization, through accurate and timely financial reports and counsel. As a member of the Accounting team, the primary responsibilities of this position are to carry out equipment costing duties, as well as to assist with preparation of financial statements.

Responsibilities

• Equipment Invoice Entry
• Equipment Purchase Orders
• Analyze cost and make sure coded to proper categories.
• Under-Utilization Entries
• Fuel Cards
  • Track, Monitor, and Maintain
  • Monthly Allocations
• Track and Monitor Vehicle Allowance and Compliance
• EZ Pass Management
• Equipment Budgets
  • Monitor, Respective Journal Entries
• Tracking Equipment Leases, Loans, Purchasing
• Fixed Assets
  • Track and confer with Auditors.
  • Depreciation
  • Assist in the development of internal rates.
• IFTA Tax Tracking and Quarterly Filing
• Cost Savings Analysis & Reporting
• Track and Monitor Equipment Damage

Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in accounting, Business, or equivalent hands-on experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Must be able to pass a background & drug test.
• Ability to travel to client meetings, conferences, and regional/divisional offices.
• Travel may include air travel and overnight hotel stays.
