VMI BUYER

Purpose and Scope/General Summary: We are looking for a VMI (Vendor Managed Inventory) Buyer for JBSROLE that will be based in our Mason, Ohio location. This role is responsible for maintaining the supply chain for the company andmanaging the operational execution of Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI)strategies. Manages deliverables, resolves delivery and supply issues, andcommunications between suppliers and the company.

Responsibilities:

  • Manages the execution of VMI strategies.
  • Responds to inquiries from a variety of internal and external parties toprovide information and/or provide directions.
  • Monitors customer satisfaction of goods and services received.
  • Manage assigned inventory items by maintaining accurate records and creating purchase orders to support inventory levels agreed upon with the customer.
  • Ability to manage supply in an ever-changing environment, to include expediting, de-expediting and cancelling of purchase orders as needed.
  • Maintains a variety of manual and electronic records of VMI transactions.
  • Reconciles purchase orders and invoices.
  • Manage supply of materials to achieve inventory goals. Ability tonegotiate stocking programs (VMI, Kanban, JIT) to reduce both lead timeand inventory
  • Manage the supply chain to ensure quality and delivery of materials on timeto meet production schedules.
  • Interface with planning, sales, service, engineering, production, financeand other departments as required to achieve customer satisfaction
  • May assume other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent certification
  • Experience using ERP systems (SAP, OLP, etc.) preferred.
  • Must have inventory control experience with a focus in VMI
  • Experience with forecasting, replenishment planning, and inventory analysis preferred.
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Good math skills
  • Must be well-organized with good attention to detail
  • Display strong work ethics and positive attitude
  • Adaptable and dependable with ability to follow direction and workcooperation with others
  • Must maintain a helpful and professional attitude and appearance
  • Ability to apply logic and understanding to carry out detailed, but uninvolved, instructions and to deal with problems involving a few different variables.
  • Can perform the functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
  • As a salaried position with the company, you may be required to travel at some point to other facilities, to attend Company events, or as a representative of the Company in other situations.   • Availability to work Holidays and weekends as needed

The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits:

  • Benefits: Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment;
  • Paid Time Off: sick leave, vacation, and 6 company observed holidays;
  • 401(k): company match begins after the first year of service and follows the company vesting schedule;
  • Base salary range of [$58,015-$70,488];
  • Incentive Pay: This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s annual bonus plan, the amount of bonus varies and is subject to the standard terms and conditions of the incentive program.
