Our Optical Team has the privilege of being the first impression of our practice. They display our Shamrock brand value with efficient, courteous and empathetic communications whether on the phone or face to face.

Some of the responsibilities are:

• Welcome new and existing patients into our practice, creating a positive experience by being knowledgeable about our services and how to address each patients' specific need.
• Address patient questions and concerns being able to solve problems, think quickly and keep patients comfortable.
• Improve our patients' vision by educating them on their lens options and helping them choose fashionable eyewear that meets their medical needs and lifestyle preferences.
• Deliver an exceptional purchasing experience by selling, fitting and dispensing eyewear with an eye towards multiple pair sales. Use targeted questions and active listening to identify patient needs while keeping the standards of Shamrock Family Eye Care at the forefront of their purchasing experience.
• Review patient prescriptions, use appropriate tools for measurement of proper fitting and complete end to end ordering processes for patients.
• Merchandise and display all frames in the eyewear gallery, creating a tidy, visually appealing selection. Stay current on eyewear products and trends.
• Collaborate with team members to resolve issues, ensure patient comfort and visit efficiency, job sharing when necessary.
• Use technology to stay connected to patients, doctors and team members.

Qualifications/Skills:

• Ability to be positive and engaging with patients despite challenges.
• Strong decision making ability and problem solving skills, i.e. being able to ask questions, be observant and dig for solutions.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy and diligence with regard to orders, patient records, scheduling and file maintenance.
• Maintain a sense of urgency while handling multiple tasks with frequent interruptions while focusing on the individual patient experience.
• Ability to work well within a team environment, supporting all members across multiple departments.
• Adherence to confidentiality and privacy standards.
• Use direct eye contact, professional communication skills and be comfortable interacting with a large patient base, doctors and team members.
• Open to continuous learning objectives and professional growth with a willingness to embrace new situations, procedures, and technology.

A HS Diploma and two years of customer service experience is required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
