Transmission Project Manager

We're seeking a dynamic leader to join our growing Transmission & Distribution team. In this highly visible role, you'll oversee high-impact transmission projects from concept through construction while serving as a trusted advisor to utility clients. You'll have the autonomy to lead multidisciplinary teams, drive project success, and play a key role in expanding one of the industry's most respected engineering practices.

• Lead large-scale transmission infrastructure projects that keep communities connected
• Partner directly with major utility and energy clients as a trusted advisor
• Own projects from proposal through completion with significant decision-making authority

As a Project Manager , you'll be responsible for both project delivery and client success.

Project Leadership

• Lead transmission engineering projects from initial planning through construction and closeout
• Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, profitability, forecasting, and financial performance
• Develop project execution plans, manage project risks, and oversee change management
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams including engineering, environmental, permitting, right-of-way, procurement, project controls, and construction management
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with QA/QC standards

Client & Business Development

• Serve as the primary point of contact for utility and energy clients
• Build trusted client relationships that generate repeat business and long-term partnerships
• Identify opportunities to expand services within existing accounts
• Lead proposal development, client presentations, and contract negotiations
• Participate in strategic planning and business development initiatives that drive continued growth

Team Leadership

• Mentor engineers and project professionals
• Support hiring, onboarding, and development of project teams
• Foster collaboration across engineering disciplines
• Promote a culture focused on safety, quality, innovation, and continuous improvement

We're looking for a leader who combines technical expertise with exceptional project management and client relationship skills.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical discipline
• 7+ years of engineering experience
• 3+ years managing Transmission & Distribution engineering projects
• Experience managing overhead transmission line projects from design through construction
• Strong understanding of project financial management, budgeting, forecasting, scheduling, and risk management
• Experience developing transmission design and construction documents
• Working knowledge of the National Electrical Safety Code (NESC) and applicable industry standards
• Proven success leading multidisciplinary engineering teams
• Demonstrated ability to build client relationships and win repeat business
• Outstanding leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
