Sourcing analyst
Position Summary:
The Supply Chain Analyst is responsible for developing, implementing, and facilitating activities that enhance processes and systems supporting planning, procurement, and material flow across the organization. This role will focus on optimizing ERP system configuration, developing effective inventory strategies, and streamlining standard processes to reduce order lead times, improve output, and lower total cost. The Supply Chain Analyst will collaborate with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Procurement, Quoting, Manufacturing, Inventory Management, and Shipping. The Supply Chain Analyst will report to the Supply Chain Process Excellence Manager. This position offers broad exposure to all areas of the supply chain and significant opportunities for career advancement.
Essential/Key Functions:
- Provide analytical and system support to ensure just-in-time (JIT) material availability that meets production requirements while minimizing costs.
- Support the development of standardized material planning processes, ensuring Bill of Material (BOM) accuracy and integrity.
- Establish and maintain data collection methods and performance metrics to track and report improvements in key areas.
- Develop and maintain product classifications for new product lines and configure system tables for all product lines.
- Implement design rolls to optimize available inventory and improve supply chain responsiveness.
- Drive root cause problem solving for issues related to inventory, ERP systems, BOM integrity, and production work orders.
- Establish and support lean practices, including daily Gemba management, Standard Work, kaizen events, problem solving, Heijunka, and Poka-yoke.
Minimum (Required) Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Business, Operations, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Strong knowledge of ERP systems, with preference for JD Edwards.
- Experience with PowerBI and the ability to create dashboard for Supply Chain team to use for daily management.
- Ability to map ERP data to data lake. Sequel programing a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access).
- Strong strategic planning and project management skills.
- Demonstrated ability in critical thinking and analytical problem solving.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with ability to collaborate across teams.
