Construction Cost Analyst

job summary:
Financial/Cost Analyst needed in Akron OH at a leading engineering and construction firm. This person will join an exceptional team of project controls specialists supporting construction and engineering project managers on large projects. Experience in a manufacturing or banking setting is also acceptable. Ideal candidates will have 1-10 years of relevant experience and a related degree.

responsibilities:

• Work with 5-6 project managers concurrently to support projects in various phases of design and construction.

• Develop, implement, and maintain external and internal cost reports, cash flows and forecasts.

• Report accurate updates to cost reports or forecasts.

• Responsible for ensuring quality checks and inspections on project controls deliverables.

• Ability to compare schedule to financial data to ensure consistency of project timeline.

• Ability to integrate schedule data and other data sources in excel via formulas, pivot tables, macros, etc.

• Analyze project controls reports, present findings and provide recommendations to the project controls team.

• Ensure budget tracking against Purchase Orders or Subcontracts.

• Responsible for the review of upstream (prime contract) / downstream (PO & subcontract) change orders.

• Manage integrated data from one program to another.

• Responsible for ensuring quality checks and inspections on project controls deliverables.

• Serves as a point of contact for technical questions from APM's, PM's, Lead Engineers, or Construction staff.
