Regulatory specialist
Description
Monitor and interpret changes in regulatory requirements relevant to personal care products (e.g., FDA, OTC, EU Cosmetics Regulation).
Prepare, review, and submit regulatory documentation for product registrations, renewals, and updates.
Ensure product labels, packaging, and marketing materials meet regulatory standards.
Collaborate with R&D, Quality Assurance, and Marketing to ensure compliance throughout the product lifecycle.
Conduct internal audits and risk assessments to identify and address compliance gaps.
Maintain organized records of regulatory submissions, approvals, and correspondence.
Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies and inspection teams.
Provide training and guidance to internal teams on regulatory policies and best practices.
Support safety assessments and documentation of raw materials and finished goods.
Author and maintain Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and other compliance documentation.
Assist in the development of regulatory strategies for new product launches and international market expansion.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Regulatory Affairs, or a related scientific field.
3-5 years of experience in regulatory affairs or compliance within the personal care, cosmetics, or pharmaceutical industry.Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks such as FDA, GMP, OTC monographs, and international cosmetic regulations.
Experience with product labeling, SDS authoring, and regulatory submissions.
Excellent organizational and documentation skills.
Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
Proficiency in regulatory software systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
Knowledge of toxicology and safety risk assessments is a plus.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sharonville, OH.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $75000.00/hr.
