Lead School Age Teacher
Small Wonders Discovery & Learning Center is seeking a dedicated and experienced Lead School Age Teacher to join our team at our Alliance location. If you are passionate about supporting children's growth, encouraging independence, and creating engaging learning experiences for school-age students, this could be the perfect role for you.

Competitive Pay: $14.00 -- $15.50 / hour (based on education & experience)
Consistent Monday -- Friday Schedule (6am -- 6pm): No evenings or weekends
Paid Holidays + a full week off between Christmas and New Year's Day

What We're Looking For:
CDA, Associate's, or Bachelor's in Early Childhood Education or related field (required)
At least 1 year of Lead Teacher experience in a licensed school-age or preschool program (required)
Strong classroom management, planning, and communication skills
A nurturing educator who loves working with children ages 5 -- 12
Familiarity with Step Up To Quality (SUTQ) is a plus
Ability to meet ODJFS licensing requirements, including BCI / FBI background checks
Must be able to pass a physical
Must have valid Driver's License
What You'll Do:
Lead a school-age classroom / program for children ages 5 -- 12
Plan and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate before / after-school activities and full-day programming on non-school days
Support homework time, social skills, problem-solving, and independence
Foster a safe, supportive, and positive learning environment
Communicate effectively with families and team members
Track and document participation and progress
