The Banquet Server supports and works with the banquet teams to provide an exceptional experience for all guests. This role assists with setup, breakdown, and service provided in banquet dining and events.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Prepare coffee breaks, carts, and stations with appropriate food and beverages as stated in Banquet Event Order.
- Prepare tables, action stations, buffets, service carts, dessert table/carts and cordial carts.
- Communicate additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen.
- Ensure courses are cleared and tables are properly crumbed.
- Respond to and try to fulfill any special banquet event arrangements.
- Replenish buffet items to ensure consistency and freshness in presentation.
- Monitor tableware to ensure it is presentable to guests.
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned station and service areas.
- Bus tables by removing and separating tableware, plateware, glassware, and flatware.

- Assist other departments when needed to ensure optimum service to guests.
- Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to the manager; and complete safety training and certifications.
- Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipate and address guests’ service needs, and thank guests with genuine appreciation.
- Speak with others using clear and professional language.
- Support team to reach common goals.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience
- At least 2 years of related experience required.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills..
- Ability to work independently (and in a team).
Work Conditions & Physical Demands
- Work is performed indoors and outdoors in a commercial setting with regular exposure to cold, heat, noise, people, and equipment.
- Able to work independently or as a team member and support managers with special projects.
- Strong collaboration skills – works well across functional areas—excellent relationship-building skills; able to collaborate with various levels of the organization.

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear, and taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 80 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Expected Hours of Work & Travel
Must be able to work various shifts when needed to cover during regular business hours, including weekends and evenings.
