Job Summary

The Trainee Laboratory Technician is responsible for delivering safe, efficient, and reliable Product & Service Delivery (PSD) to customers. This position plays a critical role in performing quality assurance tests, preparing laboratory reports, and supporting technical fluid design and additive selection processes. The role requires close communication with Client Support Labs, operating locations, and internal technical teams to ensure excellent service delivery and adherence to safety and quality standards.

Job Description

• Deliver accurate and timely job-related results to internal teams and customers.
• Perform quality control tests on products and report findings.
  
• Prepare laboratory documentation and reports in advance of wellsite service delivery.
  
• Assist in advanced additive selection and fluid design under supervision.
  
• Maintain lab equipment in clean and working condition; ensure proper waste disposal.
  
• Conduct regular lab audits to ensure compliance with operational standards.
  
• Assist Design/Technical Engineers and Product Champions with technical tasks.
• Identify and implement opportunities for service delivery improvement.
  
• Conduct risk analyses before tasks/jobs to prevent safety or quality issues.
  
• Participate in Service Quality Meetings and implement action plans for performance improvement.
  
• Contribute to Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) and Quality programs.
  
• Always wear required PPE and comply with all HSE policies.
• Maintain up-to-date safety certifications and training.

S kills Required

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols.
• Ability to work in rotating shifts, including nights and weekends.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to learn and develop technical competencies.

Education

• High s chool diploma or GED required
• Associate degree or technical certification preferred.

Pay Rate

• $19 per hour and higher depending on experience
