SUMMARY: Start your maintenance career in an entry-level role designed to build core mechanical and electrical skills. You’ll support routine upkeep by cleaning machinery, replacing small parts, assisting with inspections, and reporting equipment issues. Working closely under supervision, you’ll gain hands-on experience with tools, safety practices, PPE, and hazard awareness while learning from experienced technicians. This role also helps you develop strong work habits and documentation skills. Though the tasks are foundational, your work is essential to keeping equipment safe, clean, and ready for operation—supporting the overall success of the maintenance team.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Support daily maintenance operations by cleaning equipment and replacing basic components like filters and fasteners.
• Assist with entry-level mechanical and electrical repairs under close supervision.
• Monitor equipment conditions, identify issues, and report concerns promptly.
• Follow established procedures and safety protocols to ensure consistent, safe operations.
• Safely use hand tools and PPE in all tasks.
• Work alongside experienced technicians while learning maintenance documentation and communication practices.
• Develop core mechanical and electrical skills through hands-on experience and training.
• Demonstrate reliability, initiative, and a strong commitment to safety.
• Contribute to team performance by meeting established KPIs.
• Maintain accurate ERP records for materials, production, and labor tracking.
• Uphold all safety policies

EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE, AND PROFICIENCIES:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude

PREFERRED ATTRIBUTES:

• 6 months of prior maintenance experience
• Completion of or enrollment in trade school education in a relevant technical field

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will encounter repetitive movement tasks, requiring standing, walking, stooping, bending, reaching, grasping, pushing, and pulling grating material of various sizes and weights for long periods of time. The employee must regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 75 pounds, using proper lifting techniques, help from another employee, or other available resources such as lifting or moving equipment. The role also requires the ability to take stairs, work around constantly moving machinery, and exposure to weather elements.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The employee will be regularly working on the production floor, requiring the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Exposure to noise, dust, heat, and cold is regular, as is exposure to machine and tool hazards requiring care and attention to safety rules and standards.
