Staff Accountant
About the Role:
The Staff Accountant is responsible for managing day to day accounting operations, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting financial reporting and compliance activities. This role focuses on core accounting functions such as general ledger management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and month end close while also contributing to process improvements and accounting operations efficiency. Responsibilities:

Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, prepare journal entries, and ensure accurate financial record keeping in accordance with accounting principles.

Perform month end and year end close activities including account reconciliations, financial statement preparation, and variance analysis.

Manage full cycle accounts payable and accounts receivable processes including invoice processing, payment applications, collections, and vendor management.

Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and balance sheet accounts to ensure financial accuracy and strong internal financial controls.

Support payroll accounting, employee expense reporting, and reimbursement processing while ensuring compliance with internal accounting policies.

Assist with financial reporting, audit preparation, and coordination with external auditors and tax advisors.

Maintain accounting records, supporting documentation, and financial reports to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

Support accounting system administration and ensure data accuracy within ERP or financial management systems.

Monitor internal accounting controls and recommend process improvements to strengthen financial reporting accuracy and efficiency.
Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent professional accounting experience.

Proven experience in accounting, financial reporting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, or general ledger accounting.

Strong understanding of accounting principles, account reconciliations, journal entries, and financial statement preparation.

Experience supporting month end close, financial reporting processes, and audit readiness.

Proficiency with accounting software, ERP systems, Microsoft Excel, and financial data management tools.

Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to maintain accurate financial records.

Ability to manage multiple accounting priorities and meet reporting deadlines in a structured accounting environment.
Desired Qualifications:

Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.

Familiarity with internal controls, accounting process improvement, and financial workflow optimization.
