Summary of Role: Responsible for performing duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives.

Hours:

• Full time
• Monday - Friday (occasional weekends as needed)
• Shift: 6:00 am - 2:00 pm (occasional nights as needed)
• Overtime is mandatory on an as needed basis

Job Duties:

• Perform various duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility’s equipment
• Ensure equipment meets the requirements of various regulatory agencies including FDA, and ODA
• Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facility
• Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production
• Perform scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment
• Maintenance of company owned trucks and vans
• Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments
• Understand and follow HACCP guidelines
• Prioritize and coordinate daily tasks with maintenance leader
• Communicate daily activity and status of work orders
• Assist leaders to ensure all equipment is maintained and operating at maximum efficiency
• Troubleshoot and utilize all resources to correct maintenance issues in an expedient manner
• Improve performance and longevity of equipment
• Perform preventative and routine maintenance on all equipment and maintain a log of maintenance activity
• Maintenance for all 8 area Busken stores: light bulbs, painting, replacing ceiling tiles, etc.
• Carry out assigned projects and improvement plans in all facilities
• Ensure cleanliness and inventory of maintenance area and off site warehouse

Qualifications:

• 3 years of previous maintenance experience
• Previous food production/industrial maintenance preferred
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on a consistent basis
• Valid driver's license
• Strong working knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems
• Ability to repeat the same physical activities, such as standing, bending/stooping, lifting, kneeling and twisting for 8 or more hours at a time
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to perform quality work under pressure
• Well organized, self-motivated and reliable
• Pleasant disposition, dependable and good attitude
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of HACCP preferred
• Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices preferred
• Experience in bakery or food industry is preferred but not required

Compensation: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
