CDL Driver/Material Handler
- Operate a Class A or B commercial vehicle to transport materials safely and efficiently
- Load and unload materials using a forklift and by manually handling goods as needed
- Inspect truck and equipment (tires, lights, brakes, fuel, oil, and fluids) to ensure safe operation
- Maintain accurate driver logs in accordance with state and federal regulations
- Prepare and process delivery documentation, including receipts and shipping paperwork
- Verify shipment accuracy by checking items against bills of lading, invoices, and vendor paperwork
- Coordinate with supervisors to receive delivery instructions and report status updates
- Secure cargo to prevent damage during transport
- Follow all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company safety policies
- Maintain a clean and organized vehicle and work area
- When not driving, the position will require additional responsibilities including but not limited to: Housekeeping, packaging orders, internal material handling, and backfilling in Shipping and Receiving.
- High School diploma or GED required
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Strong basic math and recordkeeping skills
- Ability to obtain forklift certification (written, physical, and driving evaluation)
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and safe driving practices preferred
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
