We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Groundskeeper to help maintain the appearance and cleanliness of a 469-unit Apartment Community in Columbus, Ohio. This role plays a key part in creating a positive living environment for residents and ensuring the property is always well-maintained and presentable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain all exterior common areas, including walkways, parking lots, landscaping, and building exteriors
- Remove trash and debris from grounds, breezeways, and dumpster areas daily
- Perform basic landscaping duties such as mowing, trimming, edging, raking, and watering
- Assist with seasonal cleanup including leaf removal and snow/ice removal as needed
- Keep amenity areas (pool, courtyards, grilling areas, etc.) clean and orderly
- Identify and report maintenance or safety concerns promptly
- Support maintenance staff with light duties and property projects as needed
- Safely operate and maintain landscaping and grounds equipment
Qualifications:
- Previous groundskeeping, landscaping, or maintenance experience preferred (not required)
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform repetitive tasks
- Strong attention to detail and pride in property appearance
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
- Valid driver’s license preferred
Schedule:
- Full-time schedule with occasional weekend or on-call duties as needed (seasonal)
Compensation & Benefits:
- $21–$23/hour (based on experience)
