We are seeking a motivated and hands-on Maintenance Intern to join our Garfield lot facility. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain real-world experience in the automotive industry and fleet operations within a nationally recognized repossession and asset recovery company. You will gain hands-on experience by working directly with a certified technician, who bring solid expertise in vehicle maintenance, fabrication, diagnostics, welding, and fleet management.
What You’ll Learn and Do:
- Assist with vehicle maintenance tasks (oil changes, battery checks, tire inspections, etc.)
- Learn diagnostic basics and safety procedures under the guidance of experienced technicians
- Help organize tools, supplies, and parts inventory
- Shadow the lot manager and maintenance staff to understand day-to-day operations
- Gain exposure to industry-specific technology and national fleet logistics
- Gain hands-on experience with light fabrication techniques and basic hydraulic systems used in equipment
What We’re Looking For:
- A student or recent graduate in Automotive Technology or a related program
- Interest in hands-on mechanical work and learning the ins and outs of fleet operations and vehicle maintenance
- Ability to follow instructions and safety protocols
- A positive attitude and willingness to contribute to a team environment
- Ability to lift 25 lbs., stand for long periods of time, and work in an outdoor or shop environment

- Must be at least 18 years of age and eligible to work in the United States.
- Ability to commit to the full duration of the internship
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a high school, trade program, or technical college in related field
- Reliable transportation
- Must pass an F.B.I background check
