Barista/Candy Clerk

Job Summary:

At Winans, we handcraft coffee and chocolates to inspire moments of joy. As an associate you will create a memorable experience for our customers by providing friendly customer service with prompt service, quality beverages and products, and by maintaining a clean and comfortable store environment. Our team is small but hard-working and we create a fun, positive work environment with lots of perks, like chocolate and coffee!

Job Responsibilities:

• Greets all customers with fast, friendly, personalized service and develops a rapport with customers by learning their names, favorite drinks and food items.
• Ensures that all customers are educated on our products and services, including our company history and growth.
• Follows all company drink recipes and procedures consistently and maintains the highest quality standards.
• Responsible for the understanding of coffee regions and the various differences in flavor and blends.
• Responsible for understanding our chocolate line, packaged chocolates and candies and the various differences in flavors and ingredients.
• Maintains efficient, friendly service.
• Restocks shelves when necessary.
• Routinely cleans the bar area, floor, windows and grinders, and takes out trash, etc.
• Assists in the distribution of weekly shipments.

Job Requirements:

• Strong attention to detail and time management.
• Maintains positive company morale and professional attitude.
• Self-motivator and ability to work independently.
• Regularly required to stand, walk for an entire shift.
• Regularly required to lift and/or move items up to 30lbs.
• Able to climb stairs multiple times per shift.
• Excellent verbal and written skills.

Hours/Days:

• We are open Sunday through Saturday 7am-8pm and most holidays. Shifts typically are 5-8 hours long.
• Must be able to work weekends

Compensation:

• Hourly rate: $11-$15/hour +tips and performance bonuses (with tip share, hourly rate can be $18-$23/hour).
