Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Laboratory Technician to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting clinical trials and performing various laboratory tests to assist in diagnosing and treating patients. This position requires a strong understanding of laboratory procedures, data management, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

• Conduct routine laboratory tests and analyses on patient samples, including blood, urine, and tissue.
• Perform PCR (Polymerase Chain Reaction) assays and DNA isolation to support diagnostic processes.
• Monitor and record vital signs as part of patient assessment protocols.
• Manage laboratory information management systems (LIMS) for accurate data entry and retrieval.
• Assist in clinical trials by preparing samples, conducting tests, and documenting results.
• Analyze data from laboratory tests to ensure accuracy and reliability of results.
• Maintain laboratory equipment by performing regular inspections, calibrations, and troubleshooting as needed.
• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean working environment to ensure compliance with health regulations.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or a related field; certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician is preferred.
• Experience with clinical laboratory procedures and knowledge of assay techniques is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with data management practices and laboratory information management systems (LIMS).
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data accurately.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.
• Previous experience in clinical trials or research settings is an advantage.

Pay: $28.35 - $30.91 per hour
