Maintenance Technician - 1st shift

25-35 per hour

1st shiftworking on plastic injection molding / thermoset plastics. Electrical 480/3 phase a plus.

Purpose:

The intent of this job description is to establish duties and assignments for the position named above that support the quality policy, management objectives, and quality system. This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive, and the employee may be required to perform other duties to support established company goals, policies, and procedures

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

• Hands on job requirements for daily troubleshooting and repairs on all equipment
• Maintain maintenance area, put away items that are coming in and maintain general area.
• Maintain machines and secondary preventative maintenance schedules.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
• Maintain proper housekeeping utilizing 5s principles.
• Fills out all required paperwork, accurately and legibly.
• Ability to utilize machine print for troubleshooting.
• Make safety a number one priority while working in a safety conscious manner.
• Gain knowledge to report & correct safety issues as directed.
• Training will focus on working safely with electricity, hydraulics & pneumatics using troubleshooting techniques, understanding energy control procedures.
• A wide variety of hand and power tools such as wrenches, hammers, drills, welders, saws, electrical diagnostic instruments, etc. (most hand tools will be supplied by the individual). Steel, brass, aluminum, oils, grease, electrical components, hydraulic components, etc.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Successfully demonstrate skill for a general maintenance technician
• Develop skills and ability to troubleshoot issues with PLCs.
• Develop background in electrical troubleshooting and repair.
• Ability to assist production in the programming of Pick and place robots for part removal.
• Must be able to maintain a 95% or better attendance.
