Registered Nurse Job Details

• Assignment Type: Locum tenens (travel nursing contract)
• Location: Toledo, OH 43606 (Northwest Ohio healthcare jobs)
• Duration: 13 weeks (September 2, 2025 – December 2, 2025)
• Shift: Nights, 3x12-hour shifts per week (18:45 – 07:15)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Unit: Labor & Delivery (TTH Delivery)
• Scrubs Provided and Free Parking
• Every Third Weekend Required (Saturday and Sunday)
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2070–$2120

Labor & Delivery RN Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio or compact state (Ohio nursing jobs)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience
• Certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, NRP (required for labor and delivery nurse jobs)
• Experience with Epic Stork, PeriGen, and Pyxis preferred
• Ability to float to other clinical units as needed
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Two professional references from the last 24 months
• Fingerprinting required (allow 4-6 weeks for processing)
• First-time travel nurses welcome!

Labor & Delivery Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients in labor, antepartum, postpartum, and newborn nursery settings
• Assist with high-risk deliveries, C-sections, and vaginal births
• Perform antepartum procedures: sterile speculum exams, NSTs, OCTs, triage, and fetal monitoring (external and internal)
• Administer medications and therapies including antihypertensives, insulin drips, magnesium sulfate, and Pitocin
• Manage IV therapy, blood product administration, and operate infusion pumps
• Conduct neonatal care: APGAR scoring, neonatal resuscitation, thermoregulation, and newborn assessments
• Provide postpartum care: episiotomy/incisional care, fundus/lochia/perineum care, wound assessment, and management of postpartum complications
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including CRNAs, hospitalists, midwives, pharmacy, respiratory therapy, and social services
• Document patient care using Epic Stork and PeriGen systems; communicate effectively using SBAR
• Maintain strict adherence to infection control, isolation precautions, and PPE protocols
