JOB SUMMARY : The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for researching, developing, and implementing effective recruiting and staffing strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified and capable talent for the organization.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develops, facilitates, and implements all phases of the recruitment and onboarding process
• Strategically and proactively sources passive and active candidates to build and maintain a quality talent pipeline for current and future workforce needs
• Collaborates with department managers to identify and draft detailed and accurate job descriptions and hiring criteria
• Identifies and implements efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the needs of the organization
• Assists with job postings and management of internal ATS platforms
• Reviews resumes or hiring profiles and contacts candidates to ascertain fit and interest, and refers to hiring managers as appropriate
• Schedules interviews; oversees preparation of interview questions and other hiring and selection materials
• Collaborates with the hiring manager and/or other human resource staff during the offer process, identifying and recommending salary ranges, incentives, start dates, and other pertinent details
• Assists with candidate onboarding
• Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies

QUALIFICATIONS

• 2 – 4 years’ experience in Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, or Recruiting
• Energy & Utility industry experience preferred
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to create and implement sourcing strategies for recruitment for a variety of roles
• Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative
• Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment
• Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn applicant-tracking software or other recruitment systems.

The pay range for this position is below. The specific starting rate will depend on the chosen candidate’s qualifications and prior experience. $65,000 (entry level qualifications) to $75,000 (highly experienced).
