Sales Representative - Wine
Vanguard Wines is seeking motivated, relationship-driven Sales Representatives to build and grow wine and spirits sales in the Cleveland and Toledo markets.
This is a field-based role calling on restaurants, bars, retail wine shops, and hospitality accounts. You will be responsible for developing new business, maintaining existing relationships, and growing your territory over time.
This opportunity is ideal for individuals in hospitality or retail who are looking to transition into a professional sales role with long-term income growth and a daytime schedule.
What You’ll Do:
- Call on 10–12 accounts per day within your territory
- Present wines and secure placements (by-the-glass, wine lists, retail displays)
- Build relationships with buyers and decision-makers
- Prospect and open new accounts
- Conduct tastings and occasional consumer events
- Manage and develop a consistent weekly sales route
- Follow up on opportunities and grow existing business
Compensation:
- Commission-based role (no cap on earnings)
- Most first-year reps earn $45,000–$60,000 while building their territory
- Income increases as your account base and sales grow
- Performance-based bonuses and incentives

Schedule:
- Primarily daytime, Monday–Thursday sales schedule
- Occasional evening events or tastings
Qualifications:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Organized and able to manage a territory and schedule
- Comfortable prospecting and developing new business
- Hospitality, retail, or prior sales experience preferred
