Day to day as a Maintenance TechnicianAs a new Maintenance Technician at EDEN, you can expect a diverse range of responsibilities that keep your days engaging and impactful. Your daily tasks will include conducting routine inspections, performing preventative maintenance, and addressing repairs across our facilities. You will collaborate closely with team members to troubleshoot issues, ensuring a safe and functional environment for all. Your expected schedule will be Monday through Friday, with an on-call rotation to handle any urgent maintenance needs that may arise. This structure allows for a predictable workweek while ensuring support is available after hours.

Requirements for this Maintenance Technician jobTo thrive as a Maintenance Technician at EDEN, a strong foundation of skills and qualifications is essential. Candidates should possess an adequate set of tools necessary for performing daily job tasks. Preference will be given to those with trade or technical school training coupled with at least 2 years of relevant work experience. Alternatively, having 3 years of hands-on experience as a maintenance technician or mechanic is acceptable.
A successful candidate must demonstrate the ability to independently troubleshoot issues and perform daily repairs to maintain our facilities. Strong communication skills are critical for efficiently addressing maintenance-related work orders and collaborating with team members. A valid Ohio driver's license with 4 points or less is required, along with an operable vehicle and proof of insurance. Additionally, the ability to participate in an on-call rotation is a must, ensuring timely response to any urgent maintenance needs.
Knowledge and skills required for the position are:
- A Maintenance Technician at EDEN will need an adequate set of tools to perform daily job tasks.
- Trade and/or technical school training paired with at least 2 years of relevant work experience as a maintenance technician or mechanic preferred.
- Or 3 years of relevant maintenance technician or mechanic work experience preferred.
- Ability to independently troubleshoot and perform daily repairs to maintain and upkeep company facilities.
- Strong communication skills are essential to address maintenance related work orders efficiently.
- Valid Ohio driver's license with 4 points or less.
- Operable vehicle and proof of insurance.
- Must be able to work on call rotation.
