Tax Manager Tax Manager
Position OverviewThe Tax Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the tax compliance and reporting functions of the organization. This role involves providing strategic tax planning and advice, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and managing relationships with external auditors and tax authorities. Key Responsibilities
- Manage the preparation and filing of federal, state, and local tax returns.
- Develop and implement tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities.
- Conduct tax audits and coordinate with external auditors and tax authorities.
- Provide expert tax counsel to management and business units.
- Analyze tax impacts of business transactions and provide recommendations.
- Stay updated on tax legislation and advise on its implications for the organization.
- Supervise and mentor tax staff and provide training as necessary.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Master's degree or CPA preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in tax accounting or public accounting.
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
- Experience with tax audit processes and compliance requirements.
- Proficient in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
