About IBH Addiction Recovery
IBH Addiction Recovery, founded in 1970, is a highly effective nonprofit organization and leading provider of drug and alcohol addiction treatment in Summit County. We provide evidence-based services including Residential Treatment, Day Treatment, Outpatient Programs, Aftercare support, and Recovery Housing, complemented by spiritual guidance, all intended to offer persons with alcohol and drug addiction, including those with a co-occurring mental health disorder, the opportunity to restore hope and gain skills for a lifetime of sobriety.
At IBH Addiction Recovery, we build our treatment philosophy around four core values: Dignity, Community, Stewardship (Outcomes), and Spirituality. We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Housekeeper to help us meet the individualized needs of people in recovery and uphold those values.
Job Summary:
Responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment, ensuring the office remains presentable and hygienic for our staff, clients and visitors.
Essential Job Duties:
- Responsible for cleaning restrooms and common spaces in all assigned buildings; this includes employee offices when requested.
- Vacuums, sweeps and mops floors, empties trash, dusts, cleans and disinfects surfaces (tables, walls, windows, glass, mirrors).
- Orders, stocks and delivers cleaning supplies and chemicals on a weekly and/or as needed basis.
- Able to drive a maintenance vehicle during each shift.
- Able to operate an industrial floor and carpet cleaner as needed.
- Identifies and reports any safety hazards to management.
- Provides back-up laundering duties during our admission process on a as needed or as available basis.

- Organized, detail oriented, self-starter, works well with others; exhibits professionalism.
- Able to work productively under little supervision.
- Possess basic customer service skills, exhibits professionalism.
- Possess basic computer skills.
- Available to cross-train in other positions within the department.
Educational/Experience Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous housekeeping experience in a medical or office setting preferred.
Physical Demands
Considerable standing or sitting and walking. Lifts supplies/equipment up to 50 lbs. occasionally and/or up to 20 lbs. frequently. Reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
- Part Time
- 24 hours a week minimum
- Monday-Thursday 2-7pm, Friday 1-5pm
Work Environment
This job operates in a healthcare setting. This role requires regular walking to various locations within the agency so as the employee is occasionally exposed to outdoor weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
Supervisory Responsibility
None.
