Grade Crew Foreman
Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Grade Crew Foreman to lead and oversee grading operations on construction sites. This pivotal role involves managing a team of skilled workers, ensuring safety compliance, and delivering high-quality grading work that meets project specifications. As a Grade Crew Foreman, you will coordinate daily activities, supervise equipment usage, and maintain strict adherence to safety standards, all while driving project progress efficiently. Your leadership will be essential in maintaining productivity, quality, and safety on-site, ensuring projects are completed on time and within scope.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate job site tasks - excavation, storm sewer, fine grade & base installation
- Schedule and monitor crew attendance and productivity
- Ensure manpower and resources are adequate
- Carry out Carron’s safety program at the job level
- Interpret construction drawings and conduct layout of work limits and grades (using GPS and traditional methods
- Supervise - Laborers, Operators,Truck Drivers and Sub Contractors.
- Monitor production, materials and quality to ensure positive outcome.
- Resolve problems when they arise
- Report progress to Superintendents and Project Managers
- Communicate with Customers, Inspectors,General Contractors and City Officials
Experience
- 3 years site work
- Valid drivers license
- OSHA 30 (preferred)
