Job Description

Responsibilities

• Responsible for managing the daily production activities of the manufacturing areas and other areas as needed.
• Assist the Plant Manager with setting goals and direction for production operations.
• Direct, coordinate, and supervise employees to ensure that safe work practices are adhered to and production schedules, quality standards, housekeeping standards, maintenance and cost goals are met.
• Provide leadership, direction, and career development training for departmental supervisors and employees.
• Develop recommendations for capital projects and manufacturing expenses for annual operating budget.
• Define and implement continuous improvement activity utilizing lean manufacturing methodologies

Qualifications

• Four-year degree with at least 3 years relevant experience OR 7-10 years of equivalent work experience.
• Must have good communication, leadership, and computer skills and have previous supervisory experience.
