Job Title: Tool Maker & Tooling Coordinator – Cold Heading Department

Reports To: Plant Manager

Department: Production

FSLA Status: Full-Time

**Willing to train someone with 3 years minimum cold heading setup/operate experience.**

Job Summary:

* Orders and maintains cold header tool inventories.

* Assemble and Hone/Lap Dies to Correct Size

* Supports Cold Heading Department as needed.

Primary Responsibilities:

1) Receive, issue and stock tooling.

2) Maintain records for tooling by tool number, vendor and part or series of parts.

3) Establish tool needs.

4) Purchase or schedule manufacture of tooling.

5) Expedite tooling orders.

6) Inspect new and re-worked tooling.

7) Update tool pick lists.

8) Pull some tooling for production.

9) Issue monthly stock status report.

10)Maintain header and machine tool inventory.

Periodic Responsibilities:

* Assist engineering or manufacturing when needed.

* Complete daily header production report and production cards.

Additional Duties:

* Address all issues with a sense of urgency and responsiveness.

* Act in the company's best interest at all times.

* Participate in relevant continuing education programs as identified or proposed by executive management.

* Comply with all company policies, instructions and directions to fulfill company objectives.

Qualifications:

Education/Experience

* High School Diploma

* Previous Header or Tooling Coordinator Experience.

* Communication skills:

* Ability to read and interpret documents.

* Ability to write reports.

* Mathematical skills:

* Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.

* Ability to work with ratios, percentages, fractions and proportions.

* Ability to use and read measuring devises, such as calipers and micrometers.

* Reasoning skills:

* Ability to define and solve problems.

* Ability to collect data, establish facts and draw conclusions based on those facts.

* Ability to make decisions.

* Specific Requirements:

* Computer Skills - in-house programs and AutoCAD.

* Ability to manage and complete multiple tasks.
