Purchasing Agent/Buyer/Safety

Work Day: first shift

We are searching for a positive upbeat candidate who can accomplish purchasing job shop materials and willing to learn new things and take on new tasks. If you feel you fit this description, regardless of your experience please apply.

Experience in purchasing materials for manufacturing -- experience with an ERP system or software system beneficial. Experience with inventory management and logistics, beneficial. Must be able to communicate sub-contract work with suppliers.

Job Classification: Hourly, Non -Exempt

Job Summary:

Provides purchase prices and acquires quotes on materials requested to ensure best cost practices. Orders job related materials and other requests. Coordinates inbound and outbound shipments and trucking. Complete assigned projects as assigned by Supervisor.

Compensation commensurate with experience. $20-25/hr +

Purchasing Duties and Responsibilities:

• Create and place purchase orders with suppliers as needed
• Accurately checks quotes and validates requests
• Receive material properly against supplier packing slip
• Accurately enter all material into jobs
• Enter labor hours daily
• Coordinate shipment of completed jobs per customer's Purchase Order
• Work with Project Managers to efficiently quote steel and other job-related material
• Establish and maintain partnerships with suppliers/vendors

General Duties and Responsibilities:

• Pleasantly assist visitors and employees
• Professionally answer phones
• Participate in other duties as requested by supervisor
• Helps maintain safety protocols and training as requested.
• Participates in training as requested by Supervisor

Schedule:

• Normal day shift can be flexible from 7-8 am to 3:30-4:30 mon-thurs Friday 7-8 to 12:00-1 pm.
