Senior Physician Billing Specialist

- This position pays between $18.65 - $20.50/hr based on experience
The Senior Billing Specialist will work daily failed bills/claims on all systems including late charges, rebills and any additional billing reports.
Essential Job Functions:
- Reviews/Updates failed bills & claims on host system and within billing vendor.
- Works daily electronic submissions (or 277's) resolving claim issues.
- Monitors daily claims errors and resolutions providing recommendations on systems fix's going forward.
- Works daily late charges & rebills.
- Bills hardcopy claims attaching any needed documentation for payment.
- Pulls EOB's and Medical Records as needed attaching to claims and mailing
- Contact patients, insurance, any third party for insurance information or any additional billing data.
- Creates training documents/tests. Train educate staff, providing testing.
- Work absentee staffing desk's

Desired Work Experience:
1 to 3 Years
Desired Education:
High School Diploma, GED, or Equivalent Experience
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- 2 years of an accredited degree or equal experience.
- Must also be CPB Certified. Internal candidates must have achieved 100% productivity and 95 % quality assurance for the prior 3-month period.
- Must have billing experience on multiple payers or a SME on one payer.
- Must demonstrate basic computer knowledge and demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Must pass typing test of 35 words per minute (error adjusted).
- Must be able to provide a mock training session for the interviewer (s).
Must be inquisitive and demonstrate openness to innovation including AI to explore better processes and ways to alleviate friction and improve patient and client experiences.
This is a remote position; however, candidates must be willing and able to travel to and work onsite at client, temporary, or corporate office locations as business needs require.
