A day in the life

Sunrise in Amherst, OH. You walk the floor, ears tuned to the hum of conveyors and servo motors. A line start-up check, a quick scan of VFD parameters, a PLC input that needs attention. You pull a print, trace the circuit, and bring a system back online without missing a beat. By mid-day, you're completing PMs, documenting findings, and collaborating with teammates to boost reliability. When an urgent call comes in, you diagnose a pneumatic leak, swap a component, verify operation, and log the repair for traceability—all while keeping safety at the forefront.

What you'll do

• Execute routine and corrective maintenance on facility equipment and systems
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues to root cause
• Perform inspections to ensure safe, reliable operation
• Accurately document maintenance actions, findings, and parts used
• Respond quickly to work orders and production emergencies
• Partner with teammates to improve processes and uptime
• Follow all safety procedures and regulatory requirements
• Perform other duties as assigned by your supervisor

What you bring

• At least six (6) months of mechanical work experience documented in your application or graduation from a maintenance/HVAC training program (experience can be combined across employers)
• Rehire eligible only after 180 days and fewer than 3 prior employment terms at this facility
• 18 years of age or older
• Valid identification
• Comfort using basic hand tools
• Foundational knowledge in welding, hydraulics, basic electricity, power transmission, pneumatics, and plumbing
• Ability to read and understand work assignments
• Physical ability to lift 50 lbs; climb stairs up to 120 feet and ladders up to 60 feet; stand for extended periods; and work in hot, cold, and inclement weather
