Sandusky, Ohio law firm is seeking a highly motivated Legal Assistant to join our team. The successful applicant will be responsible for a broad spectrum of legal and administrative support services for a busy law firm.
Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to several attorneys and enhance office efficiency
- Prepare, draft, and file basic and complex legal documents and correspondence
- Answer and direct phone calls and client communications
- Maintain client contact lists and correspondence, coordinate scheduling of appointments
- Monitor attorney and court deadlines and calendars
- Maintain strict confidentiality
Qualifications and Skills
- Proven experience as legal assistant or legal secretary
- Familiarity with law, legal procedures and protocols, and court system
- Experience in drafting estate planning, real estate, corporate and business documents
- Satisfactory knowledge of day-to-day operations of a legal office
- Computer application proficiency including Office 365, Zoom, Drop Box, Quick Books or Sage Accounting, and PDF editors
- Proficiency in English
- Exceptional secretarial and organizational skills
- Ability to multi-task with exceptional attention to detail and work under pressure
- Experience with probate administration a plus.
