Media Make-up Technician

The UHT Technician is responsible for the accurate preparation of dry and wet ingredients and the sterilization of the media. This role also encompasses general maintenance and troubleshooting of production equipment, including Ultra-High Temperature (UHT) processing system, hold tank, mix tank, steam generator, air compressors and Chromolox.

Requirements for the Position:

Pass a Drug Test and sign an Employment Agreement containing an Intellectual Property Rights Section

Complete a Safety Course and a Microbiology Course within 6 months of the start date

Dependability and punctuality are a must

Qualifications:

1 or more years' experience in Manufacturing

Associate's Degree in Biotechnology or Life Sciences.

Responsibilities:

Accurately weigh and prepare dry powder and wet media according to established SOP/Work Instructions

Perform sterilization of prepared media using appropriate equipment and techniques

Conduct routine maintenance on production equipment, including the UHT system, hold tank, mix tank, steam generator, air compressors and Chromolox

Troubleshoot and resolve minor mechanical and operational issues with production equipment

Document all medical preparation, sterilization, and maintenance activities accurately and completely

Adhere to all safety protocols and quality standards

Maintain a clean and organized work environment

Assist with other production-related tasks as needed

Assembly of production media hoses

Inventory of dry media and general solutions weekly

Perform and monitor clean in place

Assist in creating and maintaining current SOP/Work Instructions

Making general solutions
