Snowflake developer
Akkodis is seeking a Snowflake developer for a Contract with a client in Milford Center, OH. Candidates must have deep Snowflake expertise in modeling, ETL design, and SQL‑based optimization while guiding cross‑functional teams and offshore delivery.
Rate Range: $49/hour to $53/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Snowflake developer job responsibilities include:
Lead the design and development of Snowflake data architectures, including modeling roles, schemas, databases, and warehouse operations.
Drive cloud transformation initiatives while providing technical leadership to cross‑functional and offshore teams.
Develop, optimize, and maintain Snowflake ETL pipelines, implementing best practices for data ingestion, transformation, and orchestration.
Convert complex stored procedures and SQL logic from SQL Server to Snowflake, ensuring performance, accuracy, and scalability.
Write, tune, and maintain advanced SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and functions to support analytical and operational workloads.
Analyze complex data patterns to improve data quality, optimize storage, and enhance retrieval performance across Snowflake environments.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Data Engineering, or a related field.
8–10+ years of overall data engineering/architecture experience with strong hands‑on expertise in Snowflake.
Deep proficiency in Snowflake DDL/DML, data modeling, warehouse operations, SQL optimization, and ETL pipeline development.
Experience leading cloud transformation initiatives and managing cross‑functional/offshore teams while driving scalable data architecture solutions.
