Jr. Production Worker - Pressweld

Title: Production Worker Junior - Pressweld

Shift: Second Shift, 2:30 pm - 11:00 pm, Monday - Friday

Salary: $18 - $22 (+ $1 shift-diff), dependent on experience

Production Worker Junior Role:

This role performs intermediate tasks and assists in the manufacturing process within our client's pressweld department. The individual is responsible for working across various areas, including shearing, pressweld, grinding, and finishing, to maintain production standards while strictly adhering to all safety and procedural guidelines.

Production Worker Junior Responsibilities:

• Produce the required quantity of parts within the established specifications and tolerances
• Read and follow detailed instructions, processes, and procedures, including interpreting engineering documentation
• Operate production equipment following prints and specifications, utilizing hand tools like grinders and polishers
• Measure finished parts with precision tools, ensuring function, quality, and compliance with cosmetic specifications
• Maintain logs and records of units produced, including tracking errors that result in rejected pieces
• Inspect equipment before use to ensure proper setup and alignment; perform routine adjustments and maintenance
• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly working environment
• Perform other manufacturing tasks as assigned

Production Worker Junior Reporting Relationships:

This position reports directly to the Production Supervisor and has no direct reports.

About You:

• Possess a High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
• Have two or more years of manufacturing-related experience
• Demonstrate good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
• Be mechanically inclined with the ability to problem solve and think analytically
• Read and comprehend simple verbal and written instructions and work effectively in a team environment
• Develop a thorough understanding of or the ability to quickly learn production equipment
• Understand and abide by OSHA and environmental regulations

This is a manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, noise, and temperature variations. Employees may frequently be required to sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
