Summary Provide employee assistance/support services and case management across all divisions to assist employees in goal exploration, goal setting, career or personal planning. Provide assistance and crisis management to employees dealing with job related or personal challenges. Successfully communicate and collaborate with leaders across all divisions to ensure program is aligned with GESMV values and mission. Essential Duties & Responsibilities 1. Work with all divisions to assist Goodwill Easterseals Miami Valley employees in identifying and achieving short and long-term life goals in order to improve their health and wellness, job retention, career development and improve overall quality of life. 2. Conduct an initial interest assessment with interested employees, identifying goals and areas of focus during participation in the program. 3. Develop and coordinate individual goal plans with each employee in order to help them achieve their respective goals. 4. Develop and provide resources and materials to employees and, when appropriate, offer small group training on goal setting, finances, and other topics related to employee interest. 5. Provide advising and support services to employees who are struggling with personal challenges, career development, health/wellness, financial concerns, mental health challenges, etc. 6. Serve as a liaison between Goodwill Easterseals Miami Valley and local area resources, educational programs, and community partners. 7. Participate in collaborative meetings and task forces with area community agencies and colleges to further regional career development efforts. 8. Track supportive services and career development provided to employee and outcomes. 9. Track changes in community resources, develop a current guide of community programs that assist employees and their families. 10. Link selected employees to community resources within GESMV and provide referral to outside resources when applicable. 11. Schedule and attend regular meetings with interested employees. 12. Independently work non-traditional hours in order to provide the support needed for select employees. 13. Other duties may be assigned. 14. Comply with all Agency policies, procedures and safety standards throughout work areas and maintain same to meet CARF, HIPAA, Department of Labor and other regulatory standards. Supervisory Responsibilities None Education Requirements Bachelor's Degree or Associate Degree in Psychology, Social Work, or a related field plus minimum of 3 years related case management experience. Five years of case management or related experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Experience Requirements
  • Previous experience in providing supportive services to a diverse population which include mentoring, teaching, training, facilitating, or coaching.
  • Experience in developing individual treatment or action plans and resources for clients and/or consumers in a diverse setting.
  • Experience in building and maintaining relationships across departments and organizations.
  • Experience in case management, customer service, working with more than one disability population, and a demonstrated understanding of employer needs.
  • Ability to demonstrate good written and oral communication skills and knowledge of community resources.
  • Interest in and knowledge of employee supportive services, community resources, career development and adult education.
