Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Shop Assistant for our Kentucky Shop location to support our team of mechanics and ensure smooth operations in our shop. The ideal candidate will have basic mechanical experience, and a clean driving record. This role involves assisting mechanics, running errands, transporting equipment, and maintaining cleanliness in the shop.
Main Responsibilities
- Assist mechanics with various tasks throughout the shop, including equipment maintenance and repairs.
- Conduct part runs to suppliers or distributors as needed.
- Transport equipment and tools to different job sites, particularly during the peak summer season.
- Ensure the shop is clean and organized, including work areas, tools, and equipment.
- Help staff with miscellaneous tasks to support shop operations.
- Maintain a clean driving record and adhere to all safety regulations while operating company vehicles.
Skills and Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Basic mechanical experience or knowledge preferred.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks.
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and willingness to learn.
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
- Flexibility to travel to different construction crews as needed.
