Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Shop Assistant for our Kentucky Shop location to support our team of mechanics and ensure smooth operations in our shop. The ideal candidate will have basic mechanical experience, and a clean driving record. This role involves assisting mechanics, running errands, transporting equipment, and maintaining cleanliness in the shop.

Main Responsibilities

• Assist mechanics with various tasks throughout the shop, including equipment maintenance and repairs.
• Conduct part runs to suppliers or distributors as needed.
• Transport equipment and tools to different job sites, particularly during the peak summer season.
• Ensure the shop is clean and organized, including work areas, tools, and equipment.
• Help staff with miscellaneous tasks to support shop operations.
• Maintain a clean driving record and adhere to all safety regulations while operating company vehicles.

Skills and Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Basic mechanical experience or knowledge preferred.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks.
• Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and willingness to learn.
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
• Flexibility to travel to different construction crews as needed.
