The National/Alamo brand of Enterprise Mobility is seeking a responsible dedicated person to join our team as a Lot Attendant/Driver located at our Linden location.

The lot attendant/driveris responsible for moving and positioning vehicles to various designated locations between our properties for servicing transport and/or rental. A lot attendant/driver will perform all daily responsibilities with a focus on the needs to have vehicles ready for customers in accordance with our high-quality standards.

The rate of pay is $17.50 / hour and is located at 1100 W. Blancke Street Linden NJ 07036.

• Monday 7:30 am - 4:30 pm
• Tuesday 7:30 am - 4:30 pm
• Wednesday 7:30 am - 4:30 pm
• Thursday 7:30 am - 4:30 pm
• Friday 7:30 am - 4:30 pm

Responsibilities

• Check in vehicles
• Assist with reconditioning of vehicles and foster vendor relationships
• Verify and walk sold units to meet condition standards set by sales team prior to delivering vehicles to dealerships
• Answer questions and provide guidance to less experienced Drivers; act as liaison with outside vendors on site to ensure smooth operations
• Drive and deliver vehicles locally or out of area as needed following all rules of the road
• Assist Logistics team with transportation preparation of sold units to the end-buying dealership and deliver customers and vehicles to appropriate destination in a safe and courteous manner
• Assist in the vehicle deletion and work with PDR vendors
• Notify Manager of any customer or vehicle problems including daily maintenance including but not limited to ensuring proper oil tire and fluid levels and conduct pre-delivery inspections for new vehicles
• Ensure proper fuel tank level and fill with gasoline if needed and organize lot in a safe and efficient manner
• Complete paperwork associated with pick-up and delivery of vehicles and assist with reconciliation of new and used vehicle inventory
• Organize travel route and ensure vehicle paperwork is accurate and timely
• Install and remove license plates track plate inventory review and prepare repurchase units for turn-in

Qualifications

• The ability to operate a motor vehicle is an essential function of this position. Applicants must have a valid unrestricted drivers license
• Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship from our company for an employment based work permit or other work authorization document now or in the future
• Must be able to read write and speak English
• Must be living within a reasonable commute of no more than 1 hour from this location
• Must have at least six (6) consecutive months of prior work/organizational experience.
• Must be at least 18 years of age

First-time drivers and under 21 years old:

If you are a first-time driver and under age 21 you must complete the mandatory Graduated Driver License (GDL) program requirements. New Jerseys GDL program introduces driving privileges gradually to first-time drivers and individuals under the age of 21.
