Seasonal Front Gate AttendantCatawba Island Club – Port Clinton, OhioLocation: Port Clinton, OH Employment Type: Seasonal (Typically May–October) Primary Work Schedule: Thursdays–Sundays & Summer Holidays Reports To: Club Manager / Operations ManagerPosition OverviewThe Catawba Island Club, a private resort-style club located on the shores of Lake Erie, is seeking a professional and courteous Seasonal Front Gate Attendant for the boating season. This highly visible role serves as the first point of contact for members, guests, employees, and vendors and plays a key role in maintaining the Club's secure and welcoming environment.Key ResponsibilitiesMonitor vehicle and pedestrian traffic serving as the primary entry point for members, guests, vendors and staff, while greeting all in a warm, professional mannerVerify member credentials, guest lists, and authorized access, while logging activity accuratelyProvide directions and general Club informationCommunicate arrivals and concerns to Club staffEnforce Club access rules, policies and confidentiality standards courteously and consistentlyMonitor gate areas for safety and report any security concernsMaintain a clean and organized gatehouse areaSchedule RequirementsPrimary workdays are Thursdays through SundaysAvailability required for summer holidays (including Memorial Day, Independence Day, and Labor Day)Shifts may include mornings, afternoons, and eveningsExtended hours may be required during peak weekends and special eventsQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent preferredPrior hospitality, customer service, private club, or security experience preferredStrong communication and interpersonal skillsProfessional appearance and demeanorAbility to work outdoors in varied weather conditionsCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive seasonal hourly wagesUniforms providedDiscounted mealsOpportunity for rehire in future seasons based on performanceThe Catawba Island Club is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
