Restaurant Manager
The following Core Responsibilities represent the primary duties and key priorities of this position. They are grouped into two categories: Job Functions and Professionalism and Style Expectations. A Physical Requirements section follows, outlining expectations applicable to all positions. Each responsibility is assigned a weight indicating the percentage of the job it represents. For performance evaluations, the Core Responsibilities account for 90% of the overall score, while the Professionalism and Style Expectations make up the remaining 10%. Job Function Administration Oversee hotel and restaurant operations, adjusting staffing levels based on forecasted and actual business needs. Uphold high standards for food, beverage, and overall guest service quality. Lead a proactive human resources approach to support associate motivation, training, and development. Ensure full compliance with labor, wage, hour, and Sheraton/The Factory South Shore policies and regulations. Create and manage associate schedules in adherence with labor standards while maintaining proper staffing levels. Bottom line payroll approach. Meet budgeted revenue and expense goals while maximizing profitability within the food and beverage department. Contribute to overall hotel profitability and enhance guest satisfaction across all departments. Always Follow The Factory South Shore Basics Standard Operating Procedures. Follow all menu rollout procedures: SOP’s, New Menu Item testing, maintaining POS and All related menu implementation Follow all room service Sheraton standards. Communicate to all staff and managers in the building to maintain proper communication levels Have confidentiality with employees. Respond to guest requests and inquiries promptly and courteously. Follow all accounting procedures. Consistently follow all Sheraton/The Factory and hotel policies and procedures, ensuring all associates adhere to them as well. Attend all required meetings. Oversee front- and back-of-house operations, including kitchen, dining room, bar, and room service. Professionalism and Style Expectations Personal Effectiveness Complete projects and assignments thoroughly, professionally, and with attention to detail. Adapt well to high-pressure situations and remain open to change. Take responsibility for personal growth and development. Consistently behave and present themselves professionally, setting a positive example for all associates while holding subordinates accountable. Work with all departments. Communication Understand and communicate the Sheraton Mission. Express ideas and share information clearly, effectively, and professionally. Actively listen to others. Communicate company information, decisions, or issues to the appropriate parties in a timely manner. Treat peers and co-workers with respect. Physical Requirements These are required of every associate. Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds. Ability to push, bend, stoop, reach overhead, and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity. Ability to hear, write, and type effectively. Ability to pull a minimum of 50 pounds. Additional duties may be assigned as needed. Additional responsibilities specific to you are: Must possess comprehensive knowledge of all hotel departments and their functions. Must have a thorough understanding of applicable federal, state, and local health, safety, and legal regulations. Must demonstrate strong mathematical and computer skills. High school education and relevant training or experience are required; additional education is preferred. Ability to obtain any required licenses or certifications in a timely manner. CPR certification is required; first aid training is preferred. Additional language proficiency is preferred.
