NOW HIRING: Experienced Sit-Down Forklift Operator

Chemical Distribution Center | Akron, OH

$16.00-$18.00/Hour (Based on Experience) | Temp-to-Hire | Immediate Opening

Are you an experienced Sit-Down Forklift Operator looking for a stable, long-term opportunity?

A leading chemical distribution center in Akron, Ohio is urgently hiring a highly skilled Sit-Down Forklift Operator to join its warehouse team. This is NOT an entry-level forklift position. You'll be working in one of the facility's busiest and most experienced warehouse areas, so we're looking for someone who can hit the ground running.

Shift Information

Training Schedule (First 2 Weeks):
Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Regular Schedule:
Monday-Friday | 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM

Compensation

Starting Pay: $16.00-$18.00 per hour, based on experience

What You'll Be Doing

• Operate a sit-down forklift safely and efficiently throughout the warehouse
• Accurately pull, stage, and move customer orders
• Utilize RF scanners for picking, inventory transactions, and order verification
• Load and unload inbound and outbound shipments
• Transport chemical products while following all safety procedures
• Maintain inventory accuracy and warehouse organization
• Assist with general warehouse duties as needed
• Lift materials weighing up to 50 pounds when necessary

Required Qualifications

✅ Recent sit-down forklift experience is REQUIRED

✅ Strong RF scanner experience is REQUIRED

✅ Previous warehouse or distribution center experience

✅ Ability to safely operate forklifts in a fast-paced environment

✅ Experience with order picking, shipping, receiving, and inventory movement

✅ Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

✅ Excellent attendance and reliability

✅ Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety

This Position Is NOT For Someone Who...

• Has only occasional forklift experience
• Has never used an RF scanner
• Is looking for an entry-level warehouse position
