Maintenance Technician - 2nd Shift
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the site's business goals and objectives. The Maintenance Technician will have responsibility for electrical repair, equipment, and building maintenance.
- Record parts and materials used, record repairs and maintenance performed.
- Inventory kept and management of all spare parts (including pricing).
- Will insource parts as needed based on inventory levels.
- General upkeep of Maintenance Department.
- Clean, lubricate, adjust parts, equipment, and machinery.
- Disassemble machinery and equipment to remove parts and make repairs.
- Examine parts for defects such as breakage and excessive wear.
- Observe and test the operation of machinery and equipment to diagnose malfunctions. Operate newly repaired machinery and equipment to verify the adequacy of repairs. Reassemble equipment after completion of inspections, testing, or repairs.
- Repair and maintain the operating condition of industrial production and processing machinery and equipment.
Education or Experience
- High school diploma or GED or 1-2 years of previous machine maintenance experience, electrical helpful.
- Ability to read and work from blueprints and schematics.
- Sufficient reading level to understand written requirements/instructions.
- Working knowledge of rigging methods used to move heavy equipment.
Physical
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. occasionally, stand for up to 8 hours, use of hands.
Certifications, Licenses, Registrations
- None
Computer Skills
- Above average understanding of basic computer principles (Microsoft Excel, Word) to properly enter quality control information, and inventory information.
