Job Overview
As a Home Health Aide (HHA), you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals in their homes. Your compassionate care will support patients with daily activities, ensuring their comfort and safety. You will work closely with clients who may have developmental disabilities, Alzheimer’s, or other health conditions, providing essential assistance that promotes independence and dignity.

Responsibilities

• 30 PCS Hours for 6 Weeks Mon-Friday 7:30 A - 1:30 P.M.
• Needs assistance with bathing, dressing, supervision of ambulating w/walker, meal prep, light cleaning
• Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and mobility.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being.
• Assist with light housekeeping, meal preparation, and laundry as directed by the care plan.
• Measure and record vital signs (if applicable) and report changes in the client’s condition to the nurse or supervisor.
• Follow infection control, safety, and confidentiality protocols at all times.
• Support clients with prescribed range-of-motion exercises and ambulation as directed.
• Remind clients to take medications (no medication administration unless certified).
• Maintain accurate documentation of care provided and observations.

Qualifications

• Current HHA certification or completion of a state-approved training program.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.
• Proven experience in home health or caregiving roles.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality.
• Must pass a BCI background check and health screening.
• Compassionate, dependable, and professional demeanor.
• Excellent communication and observation skills.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience working in nursing homes or long-term care settings.
• Knowledge of hospice care practices and patient observation techniques.
• Background in home & community care experience with individuals having disabilities.
