Gardener for AI Training Data Collection
Record hands-on gardening and grounds maintenance tasks on your smartphone so those real-world actions can be used to train and evaluate next-generation AI systems. This role leverages your practical outdoor skills, not prior AI experience, and requires reliable, high-quality video captured to technical protocols.
Key Responsibilities- Perform and record common gardening tasks, including planting, weeding, pruning, mowing, watering, raking, and other grounds maintenance activities.
- Capture synchronized, protocol-driven video using a head-mounted smartphone setup to meet quality, labeling, and accuracy standards.
- Contribute a minimum of 10 hours of approved video data per week for the duration of the project.
- Follow detailed, step-by-step recording instructions consistently and complete device compatibility checks and a custom interview required for participation.
- Communicate remotely with the project team to clarify guidelines, report issues, and provide feedback on the data collection process.
- Deliver required video outputs reliably and on schedule according to project milestones.
- Active, hands-on experience in gardening, landscaping, grounds maintenance, or horticulture, residential or commercial.
- Attention to detail and the ability to follow written technical protocols precisely.
- Comfortable recording video with a smartphone, using everyday mobile apps, and performing basic device checks.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for remote collaboration.
- Self-directed, reliable, and able to manage your own schedule and output.
- Physical ability to perform repetitive outdoor tasks safely.
- Access to a compatible smartphone, and a head strap for hands-free recording within 48 hours of your start date.
- Gmail address strongly preferred for tool integration.
- Engagement type: Contractor.
- Remote work, contributors must be physically located in one of the eligible U.S. states listed in the Eligibility section.
- Minimum contribution: 10 hours of approved video per week throughout the project.
- You must complete device compatibility checks and a short, custom interview before beginning data collection.
- Typical selection and start timeline: roles are often filled within 48 hours, and selected contributors are expected to start as soon as they complete onboarding, typically within about 24 hours after onboarding is finished.
- Listed pay range: $13.00 to $15.00 per hour.
- Actual payment is output-based, contributors are paid per recorded video that meets the project specifications.
- Must be eligible to work and physically located in one of the following U.S. states: Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Montana, Nevada, New Hampshire, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Utah, Virginia, West Virginia, or Wisconsin.
- Smartphone required, supported devices include iPhone 12 and later, Google Pixel 6 and later, Samsung Galaxy S21 and later.
- Head-mounted camera setup using a head strap for hands-free recording, ready within 48 hours of your start date. Specific recording specifications will be provided during onboarding.
- Apply and complete the onboarding steps, including device compatibility checks and the required interview. Once onboarding is complete, you can begin data collection, often within about 24 hours.
- Expect quick selection for roles, commonly filled within 48 hours.
