Legal Practice Assistant

Pay: $80,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year

Note: This position requires employees to be on-site five days a week at the Wilmington, DE, Hackensack, NJ, or Washington, DC office.

Note: The qualified candidate for this position must have at least 3 years of legal support experience in bankruptcy, corporate law, or commercial litigation.

Job Description

• Provide direct support to attorneys, associates, and paralegals in litigation and bankruptcy cases
• Draft, edit, proofread, and electronically file pleadings in federal and state courts
• Maintain case calendars, track deadlines, and assist with case management projects
• Organize, maintain, and update case files and client records
• Prepare correspondence, exhibits, and presentations using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Assist with reception desk coverage as needed
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and accurate completion of projects

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in a law firm or legal environment
• Strong background in litigation support and bankruptcy cases
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PDF editing tools
• Familiarity with electronic filing systems (federal and state)
• Experience with iManage and PowerPoint preferred
• Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management skills
