Ohio Therapy Centers/ Core Medical Group location is looking to expand its medical team and is looking to hire a Full-time Medical Assistant. As a Medical Assistant, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the medical office. You will support our orthopedic physician and Chiropractor and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization, and communication. The target is to complete all activities accurately, with high quality, and in a timely manner. Experience in physical medicine, pain management, orthopedics, or chiropractic is a plus! This is a Monday- Friday position and the ideal candidate will have the ability to work until 6 pm Monday-Thursday. No Weekends or Holidays and your weekend starts on Friday at 1230pm! Hourly rate of pay based on education, work experience, and excitement for your position!

Responsibilities

• Interview patients and document basic medical history
• Organize and schedule appointments
• Update and file medical records
• Arrange x-ray and laboratory services
• Check with patients and type up patient's charts and office summary.
• Assist during medical examinations
• Produce and distribute correspondence memos, letters, faxes, and forms
• Prepare and clean treatment rooms and medical instruments

Skills

• Proven working experience as a medical assistant or medical secretary
• Knowledge of medical procedures
• Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
• Social perceptiveness and service oriented
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational and planning skills
• Proficiency in MS Office and patient management software
• Degree or certificate in medical assisting

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $16.00 per hour
