Job Description

As a Forklift Operator, you will play a crucial role in our operations during the 1st shift, from 6:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Saturday. Your primary responsibility will be to operate forklifts and pallet jacks to move products efficiently as dictated by the manufacturing system, daily work schedule, or associate requests. You will ensure direct materials are available for the manufacturing and assembly of orders, manage inventory pulls, and load and unload materials onto trucks or designated vehicles. Additionally, you will operate an overhead crane, practice proper rigging and lifting techniques, organize the Receiving Department area, and assist stock pullers as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Move products as dictated by the manufacturing system and work schedules.
• Ensure availability of direct materials for manufacturing and assembly.
• Manage inventory pulls and inventory management.
• Unload and load materials onto trucks or designated vehicles.
• Effectively operate overhead cranes.
• Practice proper rigging and lifting techniques.
• Organize the Receiving Department area and assist stock pullers.

Essential Skills

• Forklift operating experience.
• Experience with reading and interpreting work orders.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Willingness to work overtime.

Work Environment

Work in a clean and well-lit environment where you will regularly stand, walk, use your hands, and reach with your arms. Occasionally, you may need to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. You will regularly lift and move up to 25 pounds, frequently up to 50 pounds, and occasionally up to 100 pounds. The facility provides a safe and accommodating workspace for all employees.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
