Production Lead

Job Summary

Lead and drive a production team to meet and exceed the required production metrics as well as provide quality products to the customer

Essential Functions and Responsibilities (not restrictive)

• Leads execution of compounding duties to ensure accuracy and adherence to Production guidelines.
• provides training and direction.
• Identifies problem areas with team such as understaffing, failure to adhere to policies/procedures, absenteeism, wastefulness
• Verifies all safety rules are always followed.
• Monitors use of ingredients.
• Reports food safety issues to the Production Manager.
• ensure all orders are produced in accordance to the production schedule
• Ensures SQF best practices
• Ensure compounders are following batching instructions and properly tracking their materials.

Qualification & Experience Requirements

• High School or equivalent

• Minimum of two years’ related experience in a production environment

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to food-grade fumes or airborne particles. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places and toxic or caustic (cleaning agents) chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

Working in the warehouse may, on occasion, expose this individual to non-hazardous fumes, and noise from equipment such as forklifts and air compressor.

Working in the production rooms may expose this individual to noise from blenders, mixers, pumps, and forklifts.
