Yard Hostler Details:

• Temp-to-Hire position
• $20.00 / hour
• Full Time work available
• Weekend work required
• Second Shift ( Monday through Friday from 03:00pm to 11:00pm )

• Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
• Load/unload freight using hand truck, pallet jack, or forklift; verify cargo condition and documentation.
• Sort, label, and store freight properly by account or location.
• Shuttle trailers within yard/dock areas; transport freight to assigned locations.
• Secure lifting attachments, stack/assemble freight into bundles, and band on pallets.
• Perform pre- and post-load trailer inspections; document equipment condition.
• Verify and report damages; conduct daily yard checks.
• Maintain cleanliness of work area and trailers.

Yard Hostler Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Forklift experience required; yard hostler/shunting experience preferred.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Strong attention to safety and detail.
• Must be dependable with good attendance record.
