Job Description

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist who will be responsible for setting up multiple CNC machines per shift, focusing on Mazak CNC Machines, including both mills and lathes. You will be tasked with reading blueprints for setup and machine parameters, loading raw materials into machines, monitoring machining processes to ensure proper setup, inspecting machined products for quality and accuracy using sample work pieces, and performing preventative maintenance on machines.

Responsibilities

• Set up multiple CNC machines per shift, primarily focusing on Mazak CNC machines.
• Read and interpret blueprints to establish machine parameters.
• Load raw materials into machines and ensure the accuracy of machining processes.
• Inspect machined products for quality and accuracy using sample work pieces.
• Perform preventative maintenance on machines to ensure optimal functionality.

Essential Skills

• 4+ years of CNC setup experience.
• Proficient in reading blueprints.
• Strong shop math skills.
• Experience with quality inspection procedures.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Familiarity with ACME, Machining, and CNC Machining.
• Experience with micrometers, manual mills, and lathes.

Work Environment

Work in a smaller shop environment with 18 total employees. The operations include CNC Mill, CNC Lathe, ACME Machines, and Hydromat machining. The company is expanding its business, supported by new ownership investing in machine and facility upgrades. Enjoy a 1st shift schedule with a start time of 5 a.m./6 a.m., working Monday through Thursday, with overtime opportunities on Fridays and weekends as needed.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Painesville, Ohio.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $38.00/hr.
